Private Pension Administrator Malaysia gets new CEO after nine years, with Taufiq Iskandar taking over

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 1): Private Pension Administrator Malaysia (PPA) has appointed Taufiq Iskandar as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Husaini Hussin, who led the organisation since 2016. Taufiq brings over 20 years of experience in financial services, including senior roles at Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP), Penjana Kapital, and ValueCap Group.

PPA chairman Datuk Dr Tengku Aizan Tengku Abdul Hamid, in a statement, praised Taufiq’s expertise, expressing confidence he will strengthen PPA’s role as the central administrator of the Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) and advance Malaysia’s retirement planning ecosystem.

Husaini, who joined PPA in 2012 at its inception and became CEO in 2016, was recognised for growing the PRS industry to nine providers, 79 funds, and over 28,000 consultants nationwide.

PPA, approved by the Securities Commission Malaysia, manages central accounts for PRS members and supports retirement planning through a voluntary long-term savings scheme offered by licensed providers across Malaysia.
